Chapter 7: Jade-Green Lake
Song of Jade-Green Lake's Lake Water*
North shore beach shallow waters.
South bank rocky depths.
Northern water pale yellow.
Southern water dark green.
Water of the one lake,
Even flowing from antiquity to now.
Seeing the deep color of the water,
How do you know its depth?
*about three miles east of Taibei. The source was a mountain stream called New Shop river that flowed into a waterfall that cascaded into the lake, which was quite deep.
